when i first came over, i thought if it in those terms as well “SL early days” – but have now come about in that view and, for me, that is not quite it. it seems “fresher” to me because there is no overriding mantra such as “your world. your imagination”. rather than being a catchy phrase, that is actually a reality in OpenSim

also, the current OpenSim runs better and is smoother to build in (albeit, i am often the only one on our grid, so it should run like a top!)

the only way i can see it as being like SL was, is in xcontent, but i did not know SL prior to 2006 and there was already a plethora of content

to me, OpenSim is closer to what my perception of what SL coulde have been than actually being SL in the early years

no one is blowing smoke up my rear saying we are open and anything is possible – OpenSim IS actually those things! =)
